This role will be to sit in a team of 5, comprised of a Manager, 3 credit controllers and an assistant. Role Overview: The ideal candidate will have experience in credit control, preferably within the legal or professional services industry. While prior experience with ARCS and Aderent systems is advantageous, it is not mandatory. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing credit control functions, maintaining strong relationships with partners, and presenting financial statistics to stakeholders. This role requires a proactive and confident individual who can contribute to achieving monthly cash targets and reducing bad debt. Key Responsibilities: Perform credit control duties to ensure timely payment of invoices and minimise bad debt.Liaise with partners and stakeholders to address payment queries and resolve outstanding issues.Utilize ARCS and Aderent systems to manage credit control processes efficiently (previous experience desirable but not essential).Monitor and report on aged debt, cash flow, and debtor performance.Present financial statistics and analysis to partners and senior management.Collaborate with the finance team to develop and implement strategies for improving cash flow and reducing debtor days.Maintain accurate records of communications and actions taken regarding credit control activities. Based in Northampton, Northamptonshire our award-winning client is looking for a Financial Controller to join the team on a permanent, hybrid-working basis, with 3 days required in the office per week. This role would suit an ACA/ACCA qualified accountant who is from an audit background looking for their 2nd role out of practice. They will be responsible for supervising and reviewing the financial month end close process for the business with particular focus on meeting reporting deadlines and other work performed by junior members of the team. The company are leading financial services provider with over 700 employees across their brands, and a turnover of over £150 million which makes this the ideal business for someone who wants to develop their career. The successful individual will be ACA/ACCA qualified with previous experience of managing a team. They will have experience working with group consolidations, accounts preparation audit in either practice or industry. IFRS/FRS/UK GAAP experience is also essential. Good technical accounting knowledge as well as modelling is also required for this role. Sage X3, ZAPP, VENA systems experience is desired, but not essential.
