Public Affairs Officer
Murray McIntosh is looking for a Public Affairs Executive to join Energy UK. As they are the "Voice of the Energy Industry", the post holder will have an incredible opportunity to be involved in issues at the top of the political agenda at a very key time. Key Responsibilities: Build and maintain relationships with political parties, governments, regulators, businesses, and NGOs across the UK.Represent and communicate the organisation's views to stakeholders.Organise and support meetings with key stakeholders, including Parliamentarians.Produce briefing materials and manage correspondence with parliamentary stakeholders.Coordinate political events, including the annual parliamentary reception and party conferences. Requirements: Demonstrable experience in public affairs and a solid understanding of parliamentary procedures.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks to deadline.Adaptability to respond quickly to political events and changes.Energy industry knowledge, or experience in another highly-regulated sector is important.An interest in environmental/climate change issues are beneficial.
