The Role:

We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our EMEA Accounting team, located in our London office.

The role has responsibility for supporting the accounting and finance operations, ensuring adherence to company processes and policies.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for the EMEA operations while implementing and maintaining adequate mechanisms, decision making and escalations with finance partners and management
  • Provide assistance in driving standardization and continuous improvement of processes and controls to obtain the highest integrity of financial reporting (US, local GAAP, and management reporting
  • Responsible for all aspects of day-to-day accounting tasks for Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables (including PO’s and credit cards) and other monthly reconciliation reports
  • Preparation and posting of journals in new Financial system.
  • Assist in treasury and banking activities including cash reconciliations, funding requests and preparation of quarterly cash flow forecast
  • Provide support to GES Group Financial Reporting as required
  • Provide support in internal and external audit to fulfill audit requirements
  • Perform all tasks in a timely manner ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Ad-hoc projects as required

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Accounting/Finance or relevant qualification
  • Able to manage multiple assignments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant working experience in accounting firm or in commercial sector
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Positive, proactive, and can-do attitude towards tasks and challenges.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
