I am currently recruiting for a front of house assistant to work at a popular cancer support centre in Sheffield (S10).

They are dedicated to providing compassionate care and support to individuals and families affected by cancer. We are seeking a friendly and empathetic Front of House Staff member to join the team and create a welcoming environment for the visitors.

As a Front of House Staff, you will be the first point of contact for visitors to the centre. Your warm and professional demeanour will help create a positive experience for everyone who walks through our doors. You’ll assist with administrative tasks, provide information, and ensure that our guests feel supported during their visits.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting Visitors:
    • Welcome visitors with a friendly smile and provide a warm introduction to the centre.
    • Answer questions and direct visitors to the appropriate areas within the facility.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Handle phone calls, emails, and inquiries from visitors.
    • Assist with appointment scheduling and maintain accurate records.
    • Manage visitor sign-in and sign-out processes.
  • Information Dissemination:
    • Provide information about our services, programs, and resources.
    • Explain the centre’s offerings and guide visitors to relevant materials.
  • Maintaining a Welcoming Environment:
    • Keep the reception area tidy and organised.
    • Ensure that visitors feel comfortable and cared for during their time at the centre.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other staff members to coordinate services and support.
    • Communicate effectively with clinical teams and other departments.

Skills Required for the role:

  • Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Empathy and Compassion: Show understanding and kindness to visitors during challenging times.
  • Organisational Skills: Ability to manage administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a positive and professional demeanour at all times.
  • Adaptability: Be flexible and responsive to changing needs.
  • IT Skills: Basic computer skills for managing appointments and records.

The position requires working between Monday and Friday from Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

The dates required for this role are the 17th June to the 28th June (10 days in total).
