Salary: Circa £37,000 per annum

ROLE SUMMARY

My client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of critical raw materials and performance ingredients serving the Life Sciences, Specialty Chemicals, and Agriscience industries.

They are in the market for a Logistics Coordinator to Manage the logistics operations, from inbound to outbound and warehousing, in relationship with the customer service and logistics partners to offer best in class service to customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • In collaboration with the Customer Service teams, the logistics coordinator coordinates the physical flows of products, from import to distribution, including the coordination of stocks.
  • This logistics role may involve working on both the import and distribution flows
  • Contributes to the successful delivery of our customer promise in terms of lead time
  • Participates in the implementation of logistics performance indicators (OTIF, Lead-Times, etc.)
  • The logistics coordinator may be required to work with our logistics service providers (Freight Forwarders, Carriers, Warehouses, etc.) to guarantee an optimal level of customer service.
  • In this context, may be asked to work on customs and incoterms management.

  • Execute any additional tasks as required
  • Attend training as required
  • Assist other employees as necessary
  • Ensure health and safety standards are maintained at all times
  • Maintain workspace in a neat and tidy fashion
  • Participate in site projects as required

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC.:

  • Eager to learn.
  • Comfortable using computers.
  • Strong MS Office skills, including expertise MS Excel
  • Proficiency in ERP software - Technology tools expertise : SAGE
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good English skills
  • Working knowledge of databases and tools
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable with incorterms
  • Work in a fast-changing environment with international contacts
  • Diploma in logistics with experience in imports and distribution
  • Experience in logistics/warehousing
  • Dangerous Goods Safety adviser (DGSA)
  • Dangerous goods by air (IATA)
