Join GSL Education as an Aspiring Education Psychologist - SEMH Learning Support Assistant in Sutton! This long-term role offers a rewarding opportunity to support children with challenging behaviour profiles and emotional and mental health difficulties, while gaining valuable experience and insight into the field of education psychology.

Salary Scale: £90-£100 per day

About the Role:

  • Support children with challenging behaviour profiles and emotional and mental health difficulties, providing tailored assistance to meet their individual needs.
  • Collaborate with senior staff members to identify risks and support strategies for children who have experienced adverse childhood experiences.
  • Work within a supportive and dynamic team environment, gaining exposure to various aspects of children's mental health, trauma, and neurodiversity provisions.

Requirements:

  • Graduates of social science, youth studies, psychology, criminology, or similar fields preferred, but non-graduates with sincerity, compassion, enthusiasm, and inspiration are welcome.
  • Familiarity with Keeping Children Safe in Education policy and regulations.
  • Ability to listen empathetically to students' personal experiences and provide a supportive and nurturing environment.
