Telephone Business Development Manager

Are you currently working within mortgages and would like to progress your career into more of a relationship building role? We are working with a mutual building society based in

Leicestershire (circa 10 minutes south from Hathern), as they seek an experience mortgage specialist to join their business development team. This role will be to build and develop effective relationships with new and existing Mortgage Intermediaries, providing factual advice regarding our clients’ mortgage products and criteria.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who would like to progress their career in business development.

Whilst our client is based in Leicestershire, they can offer a hybrid approach to the working week, with 3 days in the office and 2 working remotely. Their preference would be full office presence for the training/probationary period (circa 6 - 9 months), however can be fully flexible on this. Hours for the role are Monday - Friday, 8.30 am - 5.30 pm (or 8.30 am - 5.00 pm with 30 minutes for lunch).

Duties will include:

  • Acting as the first point of contact to their intermediary channel and assessing 'Decisions in Principles’.
  • Provide first class customer service to Intermediaries, demonstrating competence across defined skills matrices, systems and call flows while building confidence in and loyalty to the brand.
  • Build productive, effective, and mutually beneficial relationships with peers, colleagues and key stakeholders across the business.

The successful individual will possess:

  • Previous mortgage experience.
  • A desire to progress/begin your career within business development.
  • A confident and professional telephone manner.
